| @ Felechia: The free edition of TurboTax includes only Federal 1040 EZ and Simple Returns. State returns require an additional fee. Your federal info will automatically transfer into TurboTax State for your convenience. With Basic State, you can prepare and print up to five (5) state returns for $39.95 per state. (Final pricing to be determined at the time of your download.) Can you also prepare, print and efile your state taxes for free? | |

| @ Kelli: Unfortunately, it's not possible to prepare a state-only return in TurboTax. The state program relies on entries made in the federal return, such as filing status, federal adjusted gross income, and dependents. This information then transfers over to the state return. In other words, you can prepare a federal return in TurboTax without preparing your state return ? but not the other way around. What about state TurboTax? Is there anyplace to purchase just the state pkg? Is it cheaper than buying the Federal w/the option for State? | |

| @ Ruth: If you used TurboTax Online last year, your information will be saved under your profile. You will just need to use the same username and password as last year. If this will not work for you, TurboTax does offer live support by chat or by phone. Go to elfcu.org/turbotax and look for the tab labeled Support. Can I download the turbo tax on my computer so that I can pull the last year's turbo tax information in to this version? | |
