Fee Free Debit

Published: Friday, October 7, 2011 9:00 am

While other financial institutions are asking customers to pay new fees for debit card use, Eli Lilly Federal Credit Union continues to offer a no fee debit program. We’re ignoring the debit card fee plans of the Big Banks.

If you don’t have an ELFCU VISA® Debit Card, get one. If you already have an ELFCU VISA® Debit card, use it. There’s been no better time to count on ELFCU as your primary financial institution and as your source for smart spending debit tools:

  • NO debit card fees
  • VISA® debit card accepted worldwide
  • Convenient cash back debit option at point of sale
  • Search here 60,000+ surcharge free ATMs nationwide
Apply online, visit a branch or call our Member Contact Center, 800.621.2105, to request an ELFCU VISA® Debit Card today.

@Vince: Thank you for your comments which provide the opportunity to explain some of our ATM fees. Balance inquiries at ELFCU-owned ATMs are free; at all other ATMs, this activity carries a $2 fee. The Alliance One, CO-OP Network, and Allpoint ATMs do offer surcharge-free cash withdrawals. If you have further questions, please let us know.

I was just charged $2 by the credit union to use an alliance ATM to check my balance. I have never been charged to check a balance before. There may be no charge to use a debit card but there are new fees at ELFCU. They aren't as noble as this post makes it sound

@Harold: Please look for one of three networks when choosing an ATM: CO-OP Network, Allpoint or Alliance One. You may search for these surcharge-free cash machines right here at elfcu.org. Simply go to the home page and enter your zip code via our ATM/Branch search engine.
